The robot-golem workshop is a mess! Pieces are scattered everywhere, and it is up to all of you to put the robots and golems back together. They don’t have to be perfect, but do try to keep them consistent if you can. Alrighty, let’s get building!

🥅The Goal is to have the most points, which players will earn from their widget creations
⚙️Open Drafting – Players will take parts out of the center (which get dropped there in a messy pile at the beginning of the game). They collect 1 card per round and use these to build their widgets
⚙️Set Collection – Players score their creations once they have all 5 parts (2 arms, 2 legs, and a head/torso). They score in 3 different trait categories – element, archetype, and material. In each category, if they have 4 of a kind, they get 5 points, and if they have 5 of a kind, they get 10 points.
⚙️Real-Time – This is an optional game mode where, instead of taking turns, players build as many constructs as they can before the pile is empty.

👥2 to 5 Players – Works fine at any count. Scales the number of constructs to complete based on count. But I think 4-5 is my preference because it is a bit more competitive for pieces with more players
👥Ages 12 & Up – Simple ruleset and turn sequence, plus a super cute theme for all ages!
👥Fans of set collection and drafting
👥Players who don’t mind a little randomness/chaos

🟢Aesthetics – It’s so cute! The dropped pieces has a great table presence, and you can make so many unique constructs!
🟢Components – Nice quality transparent cards
🟢Fun that the pieces will continue to move around as you play
🟢Rules well written; gameplay is also very approachable
🟢I like that you can work on 3 bots at once, so you have some wiggle room with what you go for
🟢Reference cards are handy for scoring

🔴Some players may get a little analysis paralysis trying to get the perfect pieces
🔴Not much player interaction with lower counts because it’s easy to just try and aim for different types of pieces

I’m obsessed with the look of this one! I played with the pieces even after the game just making all different little characters, haha. It’s fun to create them during the game too, of course, especially when you get the perfect piece for maximum points!

I like the transparent cards, but we realized during some plays that you could discern the parts based on the silhouette if you have a good eye, which can be huge in scoring better. I do think the real-time option helps with that, if that’s the style of game you enjoy.

I think the gameplay is super approachable, so it’ll be enjoyed by a wide audience, but I personally recommend it with groups on the larger end of the player count to have a bit more player interaction with the drafting. Definitely worth checking out!
