The wildlife in the park are in need of healing, and it’s up to you as park rangers to use your botanical alchemy to help them out. Gather, mix, and manage your potions to complete objectives and help those animals!
What Is It?
🥅The Goal is to score the most points through completing objectives
⚙️Dice Rolling – Each round, the 1st player will roll the potion dice 3 times, and players will collect 2 potions based on each roll
⚙️Drafting – If players prefer, they can instead draw random potions out of the bag and perform a snake draft 3 times at the beginning of each round to collect potions
⚙️Resource Management – Players only have 6 slots for potions on their inventory boards, but can mix or discard potions to free up space
⚙️Contracts – Players will use their collected potions to complete contracts. If they are unable to get the specific potions they need, they will have to mix other potions to create the ones they need
Who Is It For?
👥1 to 5 Players – The game works well at any count, no issues
👥Ages 8 & Up – Rules are pretty straightforward and everything is very streamlined. The dice rolling is also very approachable, and the drafting can be used as a variant once younger/newer players are more familiar with the game
👥Fans of resource management and contract completion, and games with various ways to play
PROS
🟢Aesthetics – Great looking art, and brightly colored potions
🟢Components – Everything is nice quality; I love a playmat board
🟢Rules are well written and clear
🟢Variety in game play – competitive, cooperative, solo, & drafting vs dice
🟢The resource management is often very tight, which works well to give players room to strategize a bit
🟢Colorblind friendly symbols on all the potions
🟢Solo had a bunch of different challenges for variable difficulty

CONS
🔴The one time player powers were pretty basic, and easy to overlook
🔴A bit of luck in the rolls/draft, and even what cards are available on your turn. You can’t always control things which can lead to a few frustrating turns
🔴While it scales fine gameplay wise, I did think it was a bit too short at 1 – 2 players
Final Thoughts
To me, it seems the game sets out to be a cute, approachable, cozy game, and I think it does it well! I thought learning, teaching, and playing the game were all very streamlined.
I think the limited inventory space, coupled with having to collect potions 3 times each round before spending them on objectives, led to the resource management having a good level of strategy, especially if you opted for the drafting variant over the dice rolls, since that added in the possibility of players taking away what you needed.
If you’re looking for a fairly light/quick resource management and contract completion with some pretty cool components, then check this one out!
