Our mightiest adventurers are needed now, to save out kingdom from danger! Vile creatures roam the land, on a quest to resurrect the unhallowed creatures and stop anyone who might get in their way. It’s up to you to use your weapons, abilities, and skills to protect us. Can we count on you?

A digital edition of the board game. You’ll use 4 characters, each with different dice/abilities, and will use them to do camp actions (hopefully helping the characters that will be fighting) and go on watch (to defeat monsters). You win if you can make it through all the monsters thrown at you through multiple locations.

πŸ‘€1 Player – I’m sure you could pass a phone/tablet around to play with others, but this is definitely a solo experience in my eyes
πŸ‘€Ages 10 & Up – Rules are fairly simple to learn, and the tutorial helps walk you through the first game with ease
πŸ‘€Fans of the board game who want to be able to play any time, anywhere

🟒Aesthetics – Nice art, matches the board game too
🟒Interface is good – everything loads quickly and smoothly, all the notes to remind you of abilities are clear, helpful, and easy to use
🟒Tutorial is great for new players
🟒No set-up/clean-up time
🟒Can easily adjust difficulty

πŸ”΄Length – For what it is, I think it’s a bit long; it could definitely use less rounds
πŸ”΄Luck – Sometimes, there are just bad rolls, or a bad shuffle of monsters, which leads to really unfortunate rounds
πŸ”΄Some of the text (i.e. descriptions of abilities) is pretty small

I definitely enjoyed the board game when I played it, and this, of course, was very similar since it’s just meant to implement the game digitally. For that, it definitely works. If you primarily play this solo, or just don’t want to be bothered with set up (if you hate shuffling cards as much as I do, haha) then this is a great option.

I still think the game is a little long for what it is, and the luck can sometimes lead to really hopeless games. But the bright side with this, I think, is if you want to restart it’s basically instant, which is nice.
