A lot of great things debuted in the 1990’s. The Lion King … Beanie Babies … meπ. Oh, and a lot of rad board games, too. When I looked for my favorites from the decade, I noticed something in common between them … they’re all kind of goofy! But that’s what I like about them. I didn’t play them back then, I was too young, but they still sort of give me a sense of nostalgia in a way, just for being a kid, I guess. This is your healthy reminder that this list is just my opinion of things I most enjoy, and is not indicative of the best games of the time or anything … although that’s subjective too, so keep that in mind too. Anyway, here are my top 10 games from the 90s:

Are you ready to become the next great Bitoku spirit of the forest? It’s no simple task, you know. YΕkai, pilgrims, and kodamas can help you on your journey, but, ultimately, your choices are what will determine your faith. There’s a lot to factor in, and no time to waste. We’d better get started…
Another month of new games in the books! I spent some more time at The Portal game store, which helped me try some new things … although not all of them were great, haha! As you probably know by now, I primarily play board games at 2 players with my husband, Stephen. Luckily, we have pretty similar tastes in games, which makes it easy to pick what to buy and play most of the time. Every so often, though, we are on completely different wavelengths about a game, and neither of us is willing to budge on those disagreements. It’s pretty interesting, actually. So, here are the top 6 games we disagree on!

If it’s not super obvious by now, most of the gaming I do is with my husband, Stephen. While we do have a weekly game group, and meet up with friends some weekends, most plays we rack up in any given week/month/year are just the 2 of us. So, a big consideration for us when buying games is 1) does it play 2+, and 2) does it play well at 2?
For me, there are a lot of things I love about gaming at just 2, which I’ll talk about here. For most games, (that are 2 minimum) it is my preferred player count. However, I’ve also seen barriers with gaming at 2, which I’ll also point out. (Strap in, it’s gonna be a long one).
