What Do YOU Want To See?

Hey Friends and Fans … if you’re out there.

As much as I love talking about the games that I love (and maybe trashing a few that I don’t so much love) I would love to know what games you’d like to see me write about? If I have them, I’d be happy to play, snap a few photos, and tell you my down and dirty thoughts about them. If not, I’ll try to pick up a copy (if it’s in my price range) or at the very least keep it in mind should I ever come across it for a decent price.

So throw all your suggestions at me! I’m ready for them to fly! Leave me some comments, or check out my Contact page to find my twitter info and hit me up on there. (Are people still saying “hit me up,” by the way? Asking for a friend.)

I look forward to hearing some things from you …  if ya’ll exist?

Happy gaming!

Party Games Better Than Your Go-To

Now, I bet that some of you are approaching this particular post with hesitation because you’re probably those people who are always quick to pull out Apples to Apples and/or Cards Against Humanity the second you have more than 4 people around who want to play games. Well, set aside your fears and listen up – because those games are quickly growing and tired. So I’m here to tell you about 3 other party games that you can pull out and impress all your friends with the next time you have a quaint little get together! Ready? Well, regardless, here we go!

Two Sides of the Same Game: 221B Baker Street

Howdy Sherlock-ian fans! If you’re a good ol’ lover of the beloved Sherlock novels, the fabulous movies, or just the stunning performance by Benedict Cumberbatch in the television series, then 221B Baker Street is a premium game choice for you. Becoming a master sleuth yourself is easy with this fun and simple game that can be played cooperatively OR competitively. “Two ways! That’s crazy!!” I know right? So here’s a little bit about the game (just to wet your whistle) and why I think it’s pretty cool that you can play both ways.

Splendor: Simple, Yet Satisfying

As you’ve probably learned from some of my other posts (feel free to reread if you haven’t figured it out), I’m no stranger to hardcore, heavy board games. However, that’s not to say that I’m a hater of simpler classics and other easy finds. In fact, one of my all time favorite games is Splendor, and I have to admit that it’s pretty simple. Despite that, it’s actually a lot of fun and makes for a good beginning game, filler game, or family game. Here’s the lowdown.

Little Things, Big Difference

Not only am I a fan of board games, but I am a BIG fan of little things that game designers and others in the process do to make their game just a little bit more special. To me, it really shows that they care about us little guys buying and playing their games. Isn’t that sweet? :’)
Well, wipe your eyes kiddies. And read on. Here are my top 3 little things that make a big difference to me in my favorite board games.
