Packing for your next grand adventure? A weekend away? Or maybe just a quick business trip? No matter where you’re headed, don’t forget to load up your essentials! Toothbrush, socks, and cats – of course! How many can you fit in your suitcase? Let’s find out!
What Is It?
Drafting – Each round players will select draft order and then draft the accessory tiles available for the round
Tile Placement / Grid Coverage – Players will use the tiles they draft to fill up their suitcase boards. They can earn points for groups of the same color, having cats, and fulfilling the requirements of the to-do list cards for the game (i.e. have cats on the edge of your board)
Who Is It For?
- 1 to 4 Players – Nice puzzle for solo that works well. Scales well for all player counts thanks to the cat lady tokens to fill in gaps.
- Ages 12 & Up / Family-Weight – Light rules, smooth gameplay, very approachable
- Fans of drafting and tile placement
- Fans of solo puzzles
Variants
Solo – Cat lady cards come out on even numbered rounds and block certain draft positions. There is also a card put out at the beginning to tell you what to-do list cards to use, and your target score for the game – I like having a goal to hit, and it’s neat that there are a bunch so you can try a new one each time! The cards work well to block spots, and can make things tricky when you want certain tiles. Very puzzley (though still light) and plenty of variability.
PROS
- Aesthetics – Cute art, nice color scheme, good graphic design
- Components – Nice tiles, board, and cards
- Very approachable
- Smooth, quick turns/rounds
- Puzzley feel with drafting turn order and weighing your options with what’s available each round
- Good variability with the different tiles and how turn order works; even more so in solo because of the various goal cards
- Cat lady tokens in 2-3 players work really well to keep the tiles more competitive each round
- Box fits everything well
- I also love the finger holds on the side of the box
- And I loved that the punch outs were labeled with how to bag the components

CONS
- The tiles were a bit messy on the first play, kind of shedding off the edges a bit onto the table, but after the first play it was much better
- I wish there were more ways to get packrat tokens, since you can’t use them later on to change a tile to a cat
Final Thoughts
This is a super cute, super fun game! I think it combines player interaction and doing your own thing on your board well, and it’s light enough for more beginner gamers, but also thinky enough for more seasoned gamers. I’m not entirely sure why I’m packing cats in my suitcase…seems dangerous, haha, but I like the option to leave tiles as accessories versus cats, and weighing my options depending on the to-do list cards, and what will score me the most points. I think it works really well at any count, and I really enjoy it!
