Ready … set … NOW! If you’re ready to race your opponents to grab as many target cards as you can, then the time (and the game) is NOW! Let’s get to it!

Real-Time – Players are selecting their active cards simultaneously by flipping through their decks one card at a time until all players but one show “NOW!” Then, the last player must either keep their current card, or discard one more and keep that card as their active card.

Push Your Luck / Hand Management – Players only get 1 chance to reshuffle their deck during the game – when the refresh card comes out – so they must be cautious about flipping through their deck too quickly because if they run out of cards, they’ll be stuck reusing their last card every round.

  • 3 to 8 Players – Since it is mostly simultaneous, and collecting cards is quick too, it works well at any count
  • Ages 7 & Up / Light-Weight Game Fans – No reading required, so it’s good for a wide age range; no deep strategy
  • Fans of real-time games
    • Players who can evaluate their number cards quickly and come to a fast decision on their active card

2 Players – You use any deck as a 3rd “dummy player,” which just flips a card each round and collects cards they win as normal – This is a fine variant is you want to try it out 2 player, but I think a lot of the fun of the game is the tension with not knowing when the round will end, and it’s too quick with only too, and just not as interesting.

  • Easy set-up/clean-up
  • Rules are well-written – it’s an easy and quick teach
  • I like that the player decks are all a little varied so you can’t necessarily know exactly what each players has
  • Plays quickly and smoothly
  • Small/portable and doesn’t need a lot of space to play
  • Good for a wide range of players
  • Rounds can sometimes flash by if players happen to have just the cards they need for the targets, so some players could get unlucky if they don’t get a long time to flip through their cards
  • Themeless – just numbers on cards

I thought this game was a fine filler-weight game if you like real-time. It can definitely get a little chaotic and silly, which is fun, but I don’t think it holds a ton of replay value, as least for me. After a few plays, I feel like I’ve seen the game, and it doesn’t do anything super unique that I would keep coming back to. If you like real-time, and are looking for a quick play, it might be worth checking out!
