What Is It?
🎯The Goal of the game is to earn the favor of all 5 gods (set collection) or 4 gods plus both marriage tokens. If both or neither player does one of these, you can win by having the highest total value in favor tokens
⚙️Abstract Strategy Game
⚙️Tile Laying – On a turn, players will play a tile to the grid for their side. Most tiles have special abilities when played, and players can optionally use them as well
⚙️Area Influence – When a row/column is completed, players will total their values and the highest value wins, which gives them their choice of the 2 favor tokens for that line

PROS
🟢The bag makes set-up of favor tokens easy
🟢I like the alternating board because you know exactly where you can/can’t play
🟢Good quality tiles
🟢Good iconography for abilities
🟢Rules are clear and well-written
🟢Multiple ways to approach winning is interesting
CONS
🔴Aesthetics – Drab looking
🔴Gameplay is a bit dry
🔴I thought the #4 ability was odd because it was a higher number you had to sacrifice to benefit from flipping another tile
🔴Theme is pointless
Final Thoughts
If you like abstract games, this one is fine. I think the turns and the overall gameplay are smooth, if not very unique or exciting. I’m not always huge on abstract games (clearly) but I did find this one easier to wrap my head around than many others because of the grid set up and knowing exactly where I would be playing and knowing my opponent could not block me off from my spaces. If this is normally your style of game, you might like it!
