You’ve found the ancient relics of Tutankhanine – impressive. But now you’re trapped inside the pyramids and angry mummies are awakening to punish those who dared enter their tomb. Can you light your path , escape their grasp, and defeat them? Or will the mummies get to the relics of the pharaoh first? Go forth adventurers – good luck!
What Is It?
Cooperative – Players work together and win or lose as a team
Tile Laying – Players will extend the paths in the tomb by adding various tiles via connected doorways to the table
Dice Rolling – Players will fight mummies they encounter by rolling dice. Depending on the faces rolled they may do damage, lure the mummy away, draw tiles, or activate their variable player powers
Who Is It For?
- 1 to 4 Players – Works well at any count. Maybe a little better at 3 or 4 because more total tiles are out from the start in player’s hands
- Ages 8 & Up – The game seems very approachable, and everyone is working together so it’s a good family-weight game
- Fans of tile laying, dice rolling, and cooperative games
PROS
- Aesthetics – The art is super cute!
- Components – Good tiles, dice, and cardboard tokens (though some of those are a bit small). Love the player and mummy pieces, very nice!
- Rules are well written and clear
- Modular board, so it’s a little different every time with what tiles you draw, and what mechanisms you try to trigger
- Light strategy in working together to make decisions for your best pathing

CONS
- Luck – Between drawing tiles and dice rolls, a lot can come down to luck with not much mitigation
- The mummy die is a bit of a clunky mechanic. We would sometimes forget to roll it, because we just wanted to get into our player turns
- The mummies don’t feel very different from one another, which keeps them from being more interesting
Final Thoughts
Overall, it’s a cute and neat game. The game length can vary quite a bit depending on how players chose to play their tiles and trigger the various mechanisms. I think it offers a nice level of light cooperative strategy, while still being approachable because there are luck factors as well. I think it is a solid game for a family game night, or players who are newer to gaming looking for a light, unique co-op.
