It’s bikini day at the zoo! Lots of the animals are showing off their favorite swimwear in the patterns of all their friends, while others remain a bit more… all natural. Can you match up these animal prints in order to be the first to get rid of all your cards? Let’s see!
What Is It?
🥅The Goal of the game is to be the first to get rid of all your cards
⚙️Matching / Hand Management – Each turn a player can play or draw a card. To play, the player must match one of the colors on the previously played card – either animal or bikini, or they must play a “wild” card
⚙️Take That – Gorilla cards are wild, but can make the next player draw cards. These can also stack, meaning one player may have to add all the values together and draw a lot of cards
⚙️Speed – Fly cards are also wild, but cause all other players to try and be the first to swat the fly card in order to then take the next turn
Who Is It For?
👥2 to 6 Players – Fine at any count. The biggest difference is that at 2 you don’t use the fly cards. I think it’s a bit more interesting with 3+ just because you get to add those in
👥Ages 7 & Up – Small ruleset, very approachable
👥Fans of UNO, matching, light card games
👥Players who don’t mind a small “slapping” element
PROS
🟢Aesthetics – Love the art, it’s very fun
🟢Small and portable
🟢Rules are well-written
🟢Approachable to a fairly large audience
🟢Turns are super quick
🟢Curved box lid makes it easy to open

CONS
🔴The fly cards/speed element make it a little less approachable for some who might otherwise enjoy the light cardplay
🔴Being able to stack gorillas can make for some feel-bad moments for someone who might have to draw a bunch of cards
Final Thoughts
Like I mentioned, this one felt very similar to the classic UNO, but it did have some unique features, including the theme which is silly, but definitely fun. While I know a small speed element won’t appeal to everyone, I thought the fly cards were fun, and helped to keep everyone paying attention, even when it wasn’t their turn. Stacking the gorillas also added a little bit of tension, wondering if you should play them earlier, instead of drawing, or save them in case anyone tried to play one on you.
If you like a very classic feeling card game, especially with fun art, this is worth checking out!
