Welcome to another weekly rendition of “What I Played This Week”! A lot of great, and many new games on this list this week (I added more comments than usual because of all the newbies!) and I can’t wait to share with you! But first, a question!

🆕❤️ Natsumemo – My husband surprised me with this Japanese flip/roll/do-and-write and wow it’s amazing! There’s so much to do, and it’s so unique and interactive, it overall really impressed me!
😄/🤷🏻‍♀️ Goblin Teeth – We’re both still on the fence about this one. It’s fun, but might suffer a bit from the randomness in some areas. Keep an eye out for a full preview toward the end of  October!

🆕😄 Here Comes the Dog – A little ambiguous as we had some questions while playing, but cute and light and a game that worked well with its theme!
🆕❤️ Cartographers – I get what all the hype is about! I loved the uniqueness of this flip-and-write and was glad I finally got to try it out!
🆕😄 Macarons – Prototype word game with some set collection and buy/sell elements from Carol Carpenter who we met at ReUnity. Really cute theme and everything worked pretty well together! Hoping to see more info on it in the future!
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Ganz Schon Clever – Now this, I don’t get what all the hype is about. It’s an okay game in concept, but I don’t want to play a roll-and-write where the active player needs to make multiple rolls and take multiple dice while passive players do … nothing. You can’t really plan ahead much and you just sit there waiting for your turn. We played with 2 and anything more than that I might have fallen asleep from boredom. Not for me.
🆕😄 Toasted or Roasted – Thanks Jeff for bringing this one! Glad I finally tried it out. It’s a super light game that’s just darn adorable and it’s pretty fun to roast other people’s marshmallows to a crisp! (Though, if I’m being honest, I don’t mind a semi-roasted marshmallow haha!)
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Res Arcana – I thought the gameplay itself was good, but that I was just dealt a bunch of cards that didn’t really work that well together. Drafting would probably improve the game for me, but it’d probably still fall at a little above mediocre overall
🆕😄 Bearly Asleep – I have seen this game grow and evolve over the course of a few different conventions with Jeff and now it’s bigger and better! No, literally, he made the game bigger! The size of it feels more right, and the edits made to Jumping Junior seem to make more sense with the gameplay, and improved the overall flow. Definitely great for kids and families, but I’d play this myself as well cause it’s a great time! (Hit me up for a review in the future, Jeff! 🙂 haha)
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Megacity Oceania – This one definitely has a cool look, but it stressed me out a lot and I just shook the whole time; not for me.
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Dragonrealm – Cute, but just a super light, luck driven game, nothing special
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️/😄 Harvest – I thought this one was good, and I liked it better than Harbour, which is in the same universe, but ultimately it just wasn’t super exciting for me, so I was left a little on the fence
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Dale of Merchants 2 – Kept throwing me off because it was pretty different than other deckbuilder-type games. I think if I played more, I could get into it, but I also feel like it might still go too quickly for me to really get enough out of it.
🆕😄 Planet – Very cute game with unique pieces that were just so fun to play with. I thought it went pretty smoothly, though it was sometimes hard to keep track of things when earning the animal cards, and was just a good time!
🆕👎🏻  Of Dungeons Deep – This was … a game, and that’s about it.
🆕😄 Kodama The Tree Spirits – So cute and makes such a fun tree!
