What Is It?
🥅The Goal of the game is to score the most points
⚙️Set Collection – Players are trying to collect sets of exactly 1 or 3 cards of each color in order to score each color
⚙️Resource Management – Players can only take zerones (currency tokens) or buy cards on a turn. As they take zerones, cards get cheaper for others, so it’s all about managing their timing so they don’t have to take tokens at the wrong time or buy cards for too high a price
Who Is It For?
👥2 to 4 Players – Scales fine at any count
👥Ages 10 & Up – Simple ruleset, but a nice layer of strategy too
👥Fans of snappy card game with some decision space
PROS
🟢Aesthetics – Nice color scheme
🟢Turns are very snappy
🟢Rules are well-written
🟢Small and portable
🟢Special Actions are neat and can add to how you strategize
🟢Curved box lid makes it easy to open
🟢Tight scoring works well with the mechanisms

CONS
🔴No art on cards
🔴Can definitely have some unfortunate luck of the draw
🔴I wish the “swap” action was actually a swap instead of a “give or take” a card only
Final Thoughts
This one felt very simple at first glance, and while it is light, I thought that it had a nice level of strategy too. There’s just enough decision space between the two available actions each turn to keep the game interesting, since your actions will directly influence the other players.
The scoring is definitely tight since you need to have exactly 1 or 3 cards to score a color, no wiggle room. But, I also think that works pretty well within the scope of how you get more cards. Overall, if you like quick and portable card games, it’s worth checking out!
