What Is It?

🎯The Goal of the game is to have the fewest bad luck points
⚙️Real-Time/Word Association – Each turn, a player will pull a letter from the bag and needs to come up with an answer to an uncovered category before passing the bag. If the timer dings while you still have the bag, you instead just get a bad luck token. The game ends when all boards are covered, or all bad luck tokens are taken.

Who Is It For?

👥2 to 6 Players – I think the fun of the game is the chaotic feel, so I like it best at 5-6
👥Ages 12 & Up – There’s a decent range of categories. I do think some might be a bit harder for younger players, but overall it’s approachable for a wide range of players
👥Fans of real-time and word association games, who don’t mind losing turns sometimes

PROS

🟢Surprisingly, the music the timer plays is a vibe and not super annoying
🟢Turns are quick; game is constantly moving
🟢Everyone is invested at all times
🟢Nice color scheme
🟢Decent variety of categories, plus double-sided boards
🟢Timer length appears to be random, which works well for the nature of the game

CONS

🔴Sometimes the timer ends as soon as you are handed the bag, which just feels bad/disappointing
🔴I thought it was harsh to essentially skip your turn when the timer ends. I thought that player should start the next round

Final Thoughts

As far as this style of game goes, it’s a decent one. I think sometimes it can feel a bit long (like you just feel a bit done with it before it’s quite over), but you can play with less boards to shorten it a bit too. It is fast and stressful and chaotic, but if you like that, it can definitely be fun. It felt a little similar to Tapple, but I do think I prefer that timer style which resets after each turn, because I think it works better to make the game about “skill” rather than just luck at all times. But, I do like that this doesn’t lock you into a single category at a time. Overall, definitely fun for the right group.
