Ready to test your movie-actor knowledge? Can you tell me who was in Point Break (1991) and Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)? What if I told you they were also in Sonic 3 (2024)? You can get up to 5 movie clues to guess the actor – the less movies you need, the more points you’ll get!
What Is It?
A trivia party game designed by a former movie trivia world champion where players play in teams. The clue giving team will name 2 movies + years from an actor card for the guessing team. After 30 seconds, the active guesser must make their final guess and will earn points for the team if they are correct. If incorrect, another player will become the guesser, get an additional hint, and so on. After 5 rounds, the team with the most points wins!
Who Is It For?
- 2 or More Players – Fine at 2, but I like it a little better with more players so you can pool your knowledge. I probably wouldn’t play it with more than 6 players myself
- Ages 13 & Up – It’s certainly age appropriate for younger players (8+), but I think they would have a harder time naming the actors, which would make it less fun for them
- Fans of trivia / team games
- Definitely for movie buffs
Variants
Lightning Mode – Play only 3 rounds instead of 5 – This works well if you just need something quicker, or for 2 players. Personally, I prefer the full 5 rounds.
Challenge Mode – Clue giving team starts off by only giving 1 movie clue (worth 5 points if guessed) instead of 2. – Great for true movie buffs! Doesn’t add much time to the game, and gives players a chance at more points, so I like it.
PROS
- Nice graphic design
- Great variety – 200 actor cards
- Plays smoothly and quickly
- Nice quality components/insert
- Doesn’t need a large play area, so you could play almost anywhere

CONS
- I do wish teams could discuss the clues and actually work/guess together instead of guessing in turns
- Luck of the draw of course; depending on each person’s level of knowledge, it could get frustrating if you’re just not getting actors you know
- I wish maybe there was some art on the cards
Final Thoughts
I thought this was neat! Others I played with…did not feel the same, haha. This game, very clearly, relies on movie knowledge. If you don’t know a ton of movies that certain actors have starred in, you probably won’t be very good at it, and it will feel more frustrating than fun, for sure.
If you’re more of a movie buff though, and have a group of similar-minded people to play with, it’s a great little trivia game. It’s fun to just think out loud and say “Well, I think Zac Efron was in both of those movies, but maybe so was Zendaya?” things like that, before making your final guess. So just gauge your audience
