The battle for immortality is waiting for you. Will you rise to the occasion and impress the Gods, or will your opponent get the better of you in the end?
What Is It?
🥅The Goal of the game is to be the first one to defeat your opponent twice
⚙️Variable Player Powers – Each player takes on the role of one of the available characters, each with a unique ability and battle grid
⚙️Dice Rolling/Placement – Players roll their 9 dice at the beginning of each round. They’ll place one on their grid each turn, applying any necessary modifications, and will use the values to attack/defend. When a player can’t place a die to defend, they lose that round
Who Is It For?
👥1 to 2 Players – I like both the solo and 2-player. The AI is easy to execute in the solo, and the 2-player plays smoothly
👥Ages 10 & Up – Pretty simple ruleset, so it’s approachable to a wide audience
👥Fans of dice rolling, and having various modifications for dice
PROS
🟢Small and portable; don’t need much table space
🟢Nice Variety in characters/abilities
🟢Rules are well written
🟢Cards are nice quality
🟢Turns are quick and smooth
🟢Modifiers on the grids are simple to learn

CONS
🔴Some cards often get stuck in the bottom of the tin, which is frustrating
🔴Luck of the dice, you can sometimes feel like you don’t have a lot of choices with what you rolled. The white dice can help since they give re-rolls, but sometimes you just get a bad hand
Final Thoughts
Overall, I liked the flow of the game. It was snappy and engaging, and I liked trying out the different characters/abilities. I did see a few rounds which just felt impossible for one person to win (i.e. one player rolled four 6s, and the other only rolled two 1s and no 6s, so they quickly weren’t able to defend), which can be a little annoying, though expected for a dice game. On the other hand, rounds where you can go back and forth with all 9 dice feel very exciting and tense! It’s a really quick game, so if you don’t mind some unlucky rounds, then check it out!
