Who’s ready to race? Prove you’re the best driver on the track by navigating hazards, drifting, and slamming into your opponents to run them right off the road and into the pit!

โœจTheme – Racing through the wasteland
๐ŸŽฏThe Goal of the game is to be the 1st player to get 2 of your cars to the finish line
โš™๏ธRacing
โš™๏ธDice Rolling – Players have four d6s used for vehicle movement each round – 1 for each car and 1 used to take a command action each round. There are also FX dice used for some of those commands, and for slamming and shooting
โš™๏ธTake That – Players will slam into each other and shoot other player’s cars, trying to run others off the road

๐Ÿ‘ฅ2 to 4 Players – I think it’s best with 4 for maximum chaos
๐Ÿ‘ฅAges 8 & Up – Pretty approachable ruleset for a wide audience and removes the “bad feel” of cars getting eliminated
๐Ÿ‘ฅFans of Thunder Road Vendetta who want either a lighter option or more to use with that game; Players interested in Vendetta but who are maybe intimidated by it and want a basic starting point
๐Ÿ‘ฅFans of crashing, chaos, and take that

๐ŸŸขAesthetics – Nice art/look
๐ŸŸขRules are well-written and streamlined
๐ŸŸขNo player/car elimination
๐ŸŸขEasy set-up
๐ŸŸขTurns are snappy
๐ŸŸขCompatible with the original game

๐Ÿ”ดLuck of the draw with hazards and damage as some are definitely worse than others
๐Ÿ”ดDon’t love the feel of the vehicles – they feel very thin/fragile
๐Ÿ”ดI wish the command actions were written out on the player boards or a reference card as I never remember symbology well

It’s chaos in a box! I think you’ll know right away by that description whether or not this will appeal to you. The nature/theme of the game works well and makes sense with the take that, but if you aren’t into being attacked, especially if you gain the early lead, then you might want to pass on this. Though unlike the original, where I once saw a player lose a car in the first round, I like that you always get your cars back in this one. I think it allows for more opportunities for revenge!

I like that this can be played standalone, or combined with the original, and I think it works for both, depending on what you’re looking for with a particular play. If you like chaos, check it out!
