Oh no! Those pesky goats got out again! You’ll have to go down into the caves to help bring them home. And hey, while you’re down there, might as well grab some of the marvelous treasure you’re bound to find! Let’s see who can grab the most!

What Is It?

🎯The Goal of the game is to score the most points
⚙️Voting + Push Your Luck – The lead player every round will declare a number of cards they want to flip from the deck. Other players decide if they are “in” or “out” for that expedition, and they may play action cards to help or hurt the expedition to get their desired outcome (so a bit of take that). Players earn cards for successful expeditions they were “in,” or unsuccessful expeditions where they were “out.”

Who Is It For?

👥2 to 6 Players – 2 and 3 players has a variant without voting where the leader just flips until they bust or choose to stop. I actually like the variant as it’s more in-line with how I think of push-your-luck usually. But the voting with a larger count is also fun, as it keeps everyone on every turn
👥Ages 8 & Up / Beginners and Above – Small and approachable ruleset, so it’s great for people with less game experience, or those who like this type of game
👥Fans of push your luck and “betting” on other players, while also not being upset at a little take that

PROS

CONS

🔴Cards are stiff and hard to shuffle; they just stick together
🔴Some action cards are meaner than others, which can lead to some feel bad turns (i.e. flipping votes)

Final Thoughts

Overall, a decent push your luck / sorta “betting” game (betting on how many cards you want more than continuing to flip until you stop). The theme is a little silly, and works with the general vibe of the game. I think it’s fun for a round or 2 every so often, especially if you play with a group who gets really excited about the expeditions they’re in on, haha.
