It’s a battle for the bog! Can you complete your routes faster than your opponents? Or will your fellow frogs land on you and take you out?

Theme – Frogs! (Abstract Strategy)
🎯The Goal of the game is to score the most points
⚙️Grid/Pattern Movement – Players can move frogs they’ve put out on the board according to the spots that frog may move to on their shown grid
⚙️Multi-Use Tiles – The frogs can be used as frogs moving around the bog, or can be scored for the highlighted pattern on them, according to how many frogs are on the pattern
⚙️Take That – If you land on someone else’s frog, you take it off the board and collect it as a point

👥2 to 4 Players – Not terrible at any count. 4 makes for a little too chaotic/busy board. 2 is much more focused, but I was partial to a 3 player game
👥Ages 10 & Up – Small ruleset but, as with many abstract strategy games, it can take a few plays to get the hang of
👥Fans of abstract strategy, and multiple ways to use tiles; Players who can easily parse visual pattern movement; and those who don’t mind a little take that.
👥Fans of the game Bog who maybe want to play with more players, and on a bigger board

🟢Aesthetics – Fun art and board look
🟢Components – Nice quality all around, using tiles instead of cards
🟢Rules are well written and clear
🟢Turns are pretty quick
🟢Unique way to track points

🔴Theme is just kinda tacked on
🔴While your frogs face you, but I felt like it was hard at times to quickly discern which frogs were mine, and which spots any frogs could move to next, especially with more players
🔴Never fun losing points and 3 points seemed punishing for messing up and not having any moves to make
🔴I wish there was another way to draw more frogs (with maybe a hand limit to avoid players over-drawing early)

For me, this was just a hard game visually, which kept me from liking it more. I think if you like thinky abstract games and can easily recognize various patterns on a busy board at once, then you might like it more than me! It’s very cute, and I think it’s not too hard to learn, but will definitely take some playing to get good at!
