Howdy Ho, Gamers! This week will also include a short recap of the Extra Life 24 Hours of Gaming Event I went to this past weekend, so if you’re only interested in plays/reactions/pics, just skip down to the bottom! Thanks for reading and get ready for a loooooooong list!

Extra Life Recap!

So if you didn’t know already, Extra Life is an organization that promotes gaming events to give charitable donations to children’s hospitals. At the event we attended (and always try to attend) the money goes to Connecticut Children’s in Hartford, CT. This year’s event had the usual 24 hours of gaming, put on by The Portal, (and a big shout out to their staff because it’s a busy day and some of them stayed the whole time, which trust me, isn’t that easy), a giveaway of some newer games as well as some donated games, a bunch of game tournaments, and food brought by some very generous individuals. It wasn’t some intricate event with tons of things going on every single second, it was just a fun and simple day of gaming and giving to some awesome kids, which is all you need! If you’re in the Manchester, CT area, I highly recommend attending in the future because the people who work with the charity and at The Portal are such great individuals, and the store is so friendly and welcoming, plus has a great library of games to try out (I got to play 30 new-to-me games in just 1 day!) A bit more info is below, but make sure to check out this store and future Extra Life events!

🆕 – New-to-Me Game

and let’s get to it! There were so many awesome, and so many new-to-me games this week, so it’s a very exciting list! 🙂

🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Pirate’s Cove – I was kind of disappointed because I usually love Days of Wonder games, but this wasn’t as good as most
🆕😄 Werewords- I love words, and 20 questions, and hidden roles, great game!
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Shadows in the Forest
❤️ Deception: Murder in Hong Kong
🤷🏻‍♀️ The Crocodile Hunter Game
😄 Dicke Luft in der Gruft
❤️ Escape: The Curse of the Temple
🆕👎🏻 Sour Apple to Apples
🤷🏻‍♀️ Ghost Fightin’ Treasure Hunters – It’s a light and quick enough game that I’ll play it even though it’s co-op, but it just seems next to impossible to win if the lower numbers are randomly farther away.
😄 Cthulhu: The Great Old One
😄 Shaky Manor
🆕😄 Gem Hens – Cute game, fun pieces!
🆕❤️ Point Salad – I don’t love drafting unless the game is quick and simple, so this was perfect for me. Honestly think it replaces Sushi Go
🆕😄 Spooky Stairs – Cute and very silly kid game, love it.
🆕😄 Ghost Blitz 2 – I liked it, it was fun, but I prefer the other visual recognition speed games I have at the same time
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ 5-Minute Dungeon
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Thieves Den
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Wreck Raiders – I saw a lot of hype around this one, but it really fell flat
🆕👎🏻 Q.E. – I reeeeaaaally did not like this. I absolutely do not get it.
🆕❤️ Arraial – Really enjoyed this Tetris style game!
🆕👎🏻 Mountains
🆕😄 Troll & Dragon
🆕😄 Wildlands
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Extraordinary Adventures: Pirates!
🆕❓ Lift It! Deluxe – OOOO A new emoji! Yupp, I don’t know how I feel about this one haha. It was so silly and I laughed the whole time, but I was also annoyed and frustrated and hated trying to build things. It’s somewhere on the scale, but I’ll never be sure where
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Zoo Run
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Caveman Curling
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Letter Jam
🆕😄 Artsee
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ Awkward Guests
🆕👎🏻 BarBEARians Battleground

🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ The Staufer Dynasty
🆕🤷🏻‍♀️ High Risk
🆕👎🏻 Zircles
