After a rather rowdy rehearsal dinner, you arrive at a disheveled venue. With the happy couple due to wed in just hours, can you fix everything in time so the wedding goes off without any more issues? It’s time to find out!
What Is It?
An 18-card cooperative escape room game. Players work together through a variety of wedding-themed puzzles in an effort to complete them all so that the wedding can commence!
The game utilizes a website where players input answers to reveal more cards as they progress. The website also has a hint system available, and puzzle-specific outside information for when players need it.
Who Is It For?
- 2 or More Players – Unlike other games in the series, which can be more solo-able, this game needs 2 or more players to get the full experience. Personally, I like it best at 2, but for this one I think a group of 4 would work well too
- Ages 14 & Up – This game is ranked a 2 out of 3 difficulty. Some puzzles are trickier than others, and with the unique play style this one has, it may be harder for some younger players if you have a smaller group
- Fans of puzzles and escape rooms
- Players who don’t mind having to use an online component
PROS & CONS
+ Small / Portable – Don’t need a large area to play
+ Aesthetics – Simple, but cute, art
+ Theme – I thought the theme was unique, and worked surprisingly well with the puzzles
+ Good variety of puzzles
+ Website works wells and is easy to navigate
+ While #9 in the series, I thought this brought a fresh/unique feel to the gameplay
– I always mention the lack of music on the website, but I think it would just really add to the theming of these games
– This one did make communication a little bit trickier, so I would say to make sure you play this one with players who are comfortable with puzzles
Final Thoughts
As always, I love this series! I know I’ve been a little vague here, but I don’t want to spoil the fun surprises this one has in store. It is a super solid escape room which I think would be great for a couple (just cause of the theme) or just a small group who like to solve puzzles together.
If you already like the series, it needs to be on your radar because it’s another great play with a fresh feel. If you haven’t tried them yet (first of all, get on that) but it’s not a bad place to start, though I would definitely recommend it with a solid group who are familiar with this style of game at least. Overall, two thumbs up, and I definitely recommend checking it out!
