Can you guess how many red bricks tall an English cucumber is? Or maybe how many cassette tapes long a US license plate is? If you have a knack for numbers – and somewhat obscure measurements – then you might have fun with How Many What?! Let’s check it out.

⚙️Trivia – Players will be answering trivia-esque questions based around measurements, such as how long ants are compared to a telescope. They will write down their answers, and the closest answer will earn points
⚙️Betting – Players will bid on the answer they think is the closest, whether that is their own or someone else’s and correct guesses will also earn points

Who Is It For?

👥3 to 8 Players – I think it’s definitely more interesting with more people, mostly just to see how different all the answers are, haha, so I’d say it’s best with 5 to 8
👥Ages 10 and Up – It’s not really about knowing the answers, just giving your best guesses, and I think most people, at any age, won’t know most of the answers, so it seems like a good game for a wide age group
👥Fans of trivia and bidding/betting
👥Fans of Wits and Wagers, as it has a very similar feel

🟢Super portable – Love that the box folds out into the score pad
🟢Aesthetics – The shiny iridescence and the hot pink on black looks rad
🟢Rules are well written and short and sweet
🟢Components – Good quality boards and cards
🟢Rounds are very snappy
🟢Lots of variability in questions/options
🟢I liked that you use 2 options from each card in a round, to give players more chances at points; they may have a better idea how to answer based on the answer to the first measurement

CONS

🔴The betting felt a little weird to me. It seemed like there was rarely a reason you wouldn’t bet on your own answer to try and get extra points. I almost wished you weren’t allowed to bid on yourself to keep it more interesting

Like I mentioned above, I thought this felt really similar to Wits and Wagers in gameplay, with the big differences being that all the cards are a measurement, and how you score. Personally, I prefer Wits and Wagers a bit because of the more diverse questions, but I still had fun with this one, and it’s definitely for a similar audience.

I really enjoy how you do multiple questions from the same card for a round, because it gives players a way to calibrate their answers, which I thought led to interesting gameplay. If you like this unique style of trivia, it’s definitely worth checking out!
