Are you ready for a quick card-slinging game of tongue twisting and pile slapping? Cool! … Well, actually it’s Cool Cool Cool! That’s the name of the game, get it? Got it? Good! Gather as many cards as you can by keeping your eyes on the pile and slapping at the right moment before your opponents can! Get ready … get set … go!

A fast-paced party game where players take turns flipping cards into a pile in the center of the table, and saying the names of the cards. If certain rules trigger (i.e. a pair of the same card on top of the pile) players must race to slap the pile in order to collect those cards. Slapping certain cards will also allow players to add or remove rules from the game, which can hopefully confuse the competition. The game ends when one player runs out of cards and the player with the most cards wins.

  • 2 to 6 Players – At 2 or 3 the game doesn’t feel quite as tense, so I do find it more ideal at 4 to 6
  • Ages 9 & Up – Very approachable, you just need to be able to read and slap quickly!
  • Fans of real-time, chaotic games
  • Players who don’t mind getting their hands slapped

  • Aesthetics – I like the art – it’s partly silly, some a little creepy, and the design on the back of the cards is nice too
  • Components – The cards are a nice quality and have a nice finish; I also like the bandana “playmat” you can get separately
  • Rules – Simple and straightforward
  • Small / Portable – Can play within a small space
  • Approachable – Good for a wide range of players
  • I like the variable rule cards and how they come in and out of play. It can really mess with players which can be half the fun!
  • I think it can be hard to remember the “Alright, Alright, Alright” and “Tubular” cards for adjusting the rules, so sometimes they can get missed
  • A bad slap means you are out of the round until a good slap, unfortunately. Luckily rounds usually aren’t too long, so it isn’t terrible
  • As with any slapping game, beware! You may have sore hands afterwards, haha!

If you like quick play card games, this one is neat! It has a fun look and since rules can swap in and out, it can be a little different every time, which is cool. While it’s not the kind of game I play all the time, I think it’s great for a party game night, or if you need something small to bring camping or on a trip to play in your hotel room. Check it out!
