Congratulations! You’ve been selected to participate in a new reality dating show! Viewers can’t wait to watch the dates … and the drama. Are you looking for love? Or just focused on fame? Figure out who’s here for the right reasons, and get yourself coupled up!

🥅To Win, you want to be coupled up with someone who is here for the right reasons. If you are here for the wrong reasons, you can also win by getting the show’s viewership up to 10 million people
⚙️Social Deduction – Players are trying to figure out who’s here for the right and wrong reasons so you can pair up correctly and bring the right people on dates
⚙️In villa episodes, players take actions (i.e. draw cards, couple up, etc.). In date episodes, the ‘main character’ chooses a number of players to go on the date and those players contribute cards which determine if the show’s drama goes up

👥5 to 10 Players – Decent at any count, but I think 8 is the sweet spot
👥Ages 14 & Up – Gameplay isn’t too difficult, but the theme might be better for teens+
👥Fans of social deduction games who also like the dating show theme

🟢Aesthetics – Love the color scheme
🟢The different character “stereotypes” are fun – allow players to do a bit of role-playing if they want
🟢Turns / rounds are quick and snappy
🟢Rules are well written and clear
🟢I like that the number of “wrong reason” roles is slightly randomized by player count

🔴I kind of wish the different roles had some slight variable player powers, even just one-time use things to draw extra cards or peek at a role.
🔴Definitely some luck of the draw with the action cards – if you just aren’t drawing what you need for the dates, you can look suspicious, or just not be selected

Overall, I really liked this one! I like both social deduction and (making fun of) reality dating shows in general, and I think the combo just worked really well here. I will say, I thought it was a bit more difficult to win as the “wrong reasons” player(s), because I thought it was difficult to be stealthy in increasing the drama, and if you couple up but someone looks at your player card, you’re sure to be broken up with. But, it’s definitely do-able! I think if you can get into the theme, it’s a lot of fun for social deduction fans!
