When you own a magic item shoppe, you want to keep the best crafted items in stock for all the adventurers who pass through. You will have to craft as many items as you can, and research as many spells and enchantments as you can in order to earn a reputation as the best shoppe around. Think you can handle the pressure?
As the new Earl, you’ll hereupon be in charge of managing this small, peaceful Duchy. Will you focus on keeping monsters at bay, or is building roads to new domains more important to you? How you choose to run things is entirely your choice, but remember, choices have consequences, and only the finest territory will be awarded the title of Southern Capital of Valeria. Will you make the Queen proud, or simply fall to the wayside?
About 3 years ago (7/11/19) I posted about my new favorite mechanism in games – roll & writes. It was pretty new to me at the time, and I was fairly enamored by pretty much every game in that category that I played. The genre has expanded a ton since then – I feel like half the games I see also have a roll and write version! It’s definitely still one of my favorite game styles, but my tastes have also changed a bit since my original list. So, let’s revisit and see where we stand now! This list includes roll & write games, flip & write games, and general “do” and write games (i.e. you may roll and flip).
