Top Ten 2-Player Games!

Howdy Gamers! As you probably know from my many mentions of it, I tend to play games mostly 2-player, just me and my husband. Because of that, I love when I can find a good 2-player only game because not everything that has a range starting at 2 is really great for that few players. So in case, like me, you find that you need more great games for 2, you might want to check these out!

I have again limited them to ones I own, as those are the ones I know the best and like the most. Additionally, I am aware that some of these can technically be played with more than 2, but they were designed with 2 and mind, and definitely play best at only 2 (at least in my opinion). So, without further ado, let’s gooooo!

Mentally Prepping for PAX!

Hey Gamer Fam!

During and in the aftermath of Gen Con, which I wasn’t able to attend, I saw a lot of really awesome posts and photos and game announcements that got me super excited for PAX Unplugged! I know it still seems like a while away, but when it’s the one big con a year you attend (like me) it’s cool to get stoked a bit early!

I already can’t wait to roam the vendor hall (at least 10 times), play a ton of new-to-me games, buy some new swag and games, and find the best pins. But, time for some real talk.

Amidst all my excitement for these things that I’ve done at PAXs past, I’m also feeling a bit more anxiety than usual, coupled with maybe a bit of imposter syndrome? Let me break it down a little bit.

GenCan’t 2019 Preview

What’s up, Gamers?

It’s that time of year again! For those of us who can’t afford/can’t attend/don’t want to attend big ol’ Gen Con, we are participating in GenCan’t!

This year I’ve had a lot going on, so I’m keeping it small scale, just me and my husband, doing our own thing for a bit, probably playing some new games we picked up, and maybe revisiting that Gloomhaven scenario we still haven’t finished. I did customize our badges a little bit, and pulled out my old “Welcome” sign, but I passed on the cookies and big get-togethers this year.

I did want to share one more thing in this small preview post though! I wanted to post the link to my roll-and-write game: Roller Space that I submitted to the GenCan’t design contest. It’s still pretty rough, but I had a lot of fun designing and submitting it, so I wanted to put it out there in case anyone wanted to give it a go!

For those of you attending Gen Con, have a great time! For those of you partaking in GenCan’t with me, let’s rock and roll, fam! Tweet & Insta pics of what you’re playing, cause I’ll be doing the same! 😀

Happy Gaming~

Tell the Truth – Are You a Robot?

Beep bop boop beep? Beepin boop bop. Hmm…if you knew what that meant then you must be the robot! Maybe I should zap you right now! Wait, you think I’m the robot? No, I was just trying to call you out. I’m human, I swear. Let’s shake on it! Erm…should we?

This is just an example of the mind games that will ensue while playing Are You a Robot? from Looney Labs. A very interesting take on a classic game mechanic, it does a lot with very little. Let’s check it out!
