The great African migration is here, and all the animals are on the move. Keep your herd together the best you can as they spread out from the watering hole – and don’t let those pesky crocodiles get you!

✨Theme – Wildlife
🎯Goal – Score the most points
⚙️Real-Time – No turns, all players play simultaneously
⚙️Tile Laying – Players are expanding a single play area by consistently playing tiles. They must play the tile they reveal next to the same color or animal. Crocodiles and lions can be played on top of other tiles (not each other) and serve as blocks or wilds, respectively
⚙️Hidden Objectives – Each player has an animal and a color objective and they will score the largest group of each at the end of the game and add those together for their final score

👥2 to 6 Players – I think it works at any count. It’s not long, but the time definitely goes down with more players since more tiles are being placed at a time.
👥Ages 8 & Up – Simple and approachable gameplay, no reading required. Just probably want a group of players who will all go roughly the same speed
👥Fans of real-time/simultaneous play and tile laying
👥Players who can visually assess a board quickly to try and gauge their best move while also trying to block their opponents’ potential scorings

🟢Aesthetics – Great look on the tiles, especially the shiny special tiles
🟢The shiny special tiles are also a nice touch to let players know quickly they have a special tile
🟢Components – Nice quality tiles
🟢Plays Quickly
🟢Rules are well-written and clear
🟢Easy set-up/clean-up
🟢Not as chaotic as other real-time games because it’s not so much a race to get things out, but to make large groups of your hidden goals, so players will sometimes take a bit of time to reassess the board and what others are doing

CONS

🔴The tube box is so annoying to store on the shelf
🔴Luck of the draw – if you are unlucky and not drawing much for one or both your own goals, you might feel like you can’t really control your groups
🔴Similarly, there’s a general feeling of constantly helping others without knowing who you’re helping, or who’s winning

The game definitely works well, and it’s a fun time if you like this style of game. I don’t think I’ve played anything quite like it in the past – especially not with this many tiles! I also really like the look of it overall.

Players can definitely get unlucky at times, and feel that lack of control or decision making, but since the game is very light and very quick, it usually doesn’t feel that bad, and might even have players wanting to try again and see if they can improve!
