You are a top scientist leading a team of seekers working toward new breakthroughs. In order to be successful, you’ll need to follow the scientific method – formulate a hypothesis, gather evidence, and come to a conclusion. To reach victory, you’ll have to do plenty of research and work your way through your library as fast as you can to build up your archive.
What Is It?
🥅The Goal is to be the first player to empty your library (deck) 3 times
⚙️Drafting – Players begin the game by drafting 3 seekers and shuffling all their cards together to form their library
⚙️Hand Management – Each round, each player may play a card to their memory, gain resources by exhausting cards in their memory, and use those resources to link or hyperlink cards to their seekers which will get them some immediate effects, and add to the seeker’s strength
⚙️Take That – Players will attack each other to earn the right to put cards into their archive. They may also be able to affect their opponent’s seekers/cards with abilities
Who Is It For?
👥2 Players – A head-to-head only game
👥Ages 13 & Up – The flow is straightforward, but it does have some strategic elements that might be a lot for younger players
👥Fans of head-to-head hand management games that don’t mind a bit of take that
PROS
🟢Lots of variety
🟢Turns are quick
🟢Smooth gameplay
🟢Small and portable; don’t need a huge table space
🟢Decent room for strategy, once you know your cards better
🟢Finger holds on the box!

CONS
🔴Don’t feel the theme
🔴Some cards feel stronger than others and it’s hard to balance trying to get your better cards to play/link, since you’re also trying to just empty your deck as fast as possible; general luck of the shuffle
🔴Rules felt a little vague
Final Thoughts
This is a card game that clearly benefits from many plays, especially against the same person because knowing the cards really well on both sides is essential. It helps you know what your opponent can do, and what you might want to link early versus later to maximize your potential for getting through your deck.
It’s pretty easy to get into, but I think there is enough luck factoring in that it can get frustrating if one player is just able to combo their cards better than the other. Hopefully that improves with more plays as you know the cards better.
