Another month, another mountain of games! Quite a few this month that I found mediocre, but also some surprises. I did not expect to like UNO Ultimate much, but it was super cool, and I’m excited to show it to some more people too. What was the most surprising game you played in April?

❤️ – Loved It/Always Love It/Favorite (I rate it a 9 – 10)
😄 – Liked It/Will Likely Play Again (I rate it a 7 – 8)
🤷🏻‍♀️ – Okay/Take It or Leave It/Could Play Again (I rate it a 4 – 6)
👎🏻 – Didn’t Like/Would Not Play Again (I rate it a 1 – 3)

🤷🏻‍♀️ Nitro Glyxerol – This was so much harder than I thought it’d be, and the potential point spread is insane.
🤷🏻‍♀️ Lost Gemma W – This was also pretty tricky, but kind of interesting since there’s a little bit of memory.
😄 Rataneer – Better than I expected! I think the dummy cubes work well here in a 2 player game, and it’s just interesting to see how things play out. Would like to try it with more.
😄 Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game – Doctor Strange and the Shadows of Nightmare Expansion
👎🏻 Starcraft: The Board Game
😄 PinPoint – Review coming soon! It’s a cool little mix of different types of party games!
😄 Magic Market
🤷🏻‍♀️ Little Town – I want to like this more, but I’m kind of on the fence about it overall. It plays pretty well, but man do I hate feeding my workers!
🤷🏻‍♀️ Cryo
🤷🏻‍♀️/😄 Boomerang: USA
🤷🏻‍♀️ Key Hunters
😄 Cantaloop: Book 2- A Hack of a Plan
🤷🏻 Squire for Hire + Squire for Hire: Mystic Runes – I’ve played the app before, but the board game was hard to play due to a crappy rule book. Decent game still, though.
🤷🏻‍♀️/😄 Vamp on the Batwalk – I’m trying to find trick taking games to get into, but it’s been hard. This one looks great, and it’s very unique, but I think it’s still not quite hitting the mark for me. Review coming soon!
😄 New York Zoo
🤷🏻‍♀️/😄 UNO Ultimate – This was a surprise! But I really liked it. I think with more plays my rating will go up a bit too.
🤷🏻‍♀️ Wrong Party
🤷🏻‍♀️ Honey Buzz – I wanted to like this more because it’s very pretty, but at least at 2 players, it sits at about a 6. It’s okay, but doesn’t feel incredibly balanced
🤷🏻‍♀️ Savannah Park
😄 Downtown Farmer’s Market
🤷🏻‍♀️ Fort – I feel like after a play, I’ve seen the whole game, you know? It was better than SPQF though.
😄 Marvel Battleworld – It’s not the best game ever, but it’s so darn cute so I still really like it!
🤷🏻‍♀️/😄 Ascension Tactics: Miniatures Deckbuilding Game – It’s not the type of game I’d pick to play very often, if ever, but if I play it, I probably won’t have a bad time.
